I recently had the honor to review some of the new Wisteria switches by Zepsody. For full disclaimer, he is a good friend of mine, and these were sent for free. Yet, this is my personal opinion on the switch. The first thing that caught my eye was the beautiful wisteria purple color of the switches, which really does resemble the flower. It adds a nice touch of color to the keyboard without being too flashy or overbearing. It is far from the neon purple wisteria that the flower sports, yet is a nice combination of a similar color, even though it is a bit more pink.

But the aesthetics aren't the only thing that make these switches stand out. The typing feel is absolutely amazing on these. The stock spring provides a nice, smooth, and consistent stroke. It's not too light or too heavy for most users, and they have done a really nice job with the spring length along with the long pole. I was also pleasantly surprised by the lube job from the factory. It's not too greasy (looking at you oil kings) or too light (looking at you NK Silks v1), but it definitely improves the overall feel of the switch. It's not something I would normally expect from a factory lube job, but it's definitely a nice touch. Going into this review, I thought that I was going to have to open these switches up and figure out something with the lubing situation, yet that was far from the truth. In reality, with factory lube jobs getting so good on some of these bigger switches, I was afraid that these would fall short, yet they didn't. Another thing that the Wisteria's do well is the long pole that they have added. Sometimes the long pole is totally unnecessary in a switch, and I would prefer it to not be included at all. I also think that it is very board dependent, and if your board is really flexy, you might have a better time with a different switch. People have their own opinions on long pole switches, but personally, I don't mind the shorter bottom out on most of the boards that I daily drive. The switch is also quite rigid, and there seems to be little to no room for any films to be used either. I think that this is a big plus, and with no real place for films, and great factory lubing, I think that these switches are ready to go out of the box. Regardless, they did a good job overall, and this is a nicely done switch.

In conclusion, I highly recommend the Wisteria switch. It's a beautiful switch with a great typing feel, and the long pole along with the really excellent factory lubing sets it apart from other switches on the market. It's a switch that I think is perfect for anyone looking to upgrade their keyboard or build their own. Whether you're a casual typer or a professional gamer, the Wisteria switch has something to offer for everyone.
